FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Is it ok if we don't attend Neelsville Church?
A: Absolutely! We would love to have your child involved in our Rainforest Falls VBS.
Q: Is it ok if we miss a day?
A: Of course. It's summer, so we completely understand you may have travel plans or other commitments. Please communicate any changes to your child’s schedule in advance of VBS.
Q: What kind of safety measures will you have in place?
A: Your child’s safety is a top priority. We require all participants to have a signed registration form before their first camp session which includes a list of emergency contacts and relevant health information. There is a secure check-in and check-out process that requires all children to be picked up in person by their approved adult. All the adult volunteers are Neelsville Church members who know and serve this church lovingly week after week, unlike other camps that hire seasonal or temporary employees. Our church is like family and that’s why we all enjoy working and serving Christ together. Additionally, all teen helpers are required to meet with our Director in advance to review procedures and expectations. Adults undergo background checks, while all volunteers (youth and adult) attend focused training sessions prior to VBS.
Q: What should my child wear?
A: Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes. We are indoors for the majority of the camp day; however, recreational activities are outside weather permitting.
Q: Can I contact you with questions?
A: Absolutely! Please email us at kids@neelsville.org with your questions and we’ll be in touch soon.
Q: How can I help?
A: We typically schedule a few decorating days and this would be a great way to meet our team and start building a relationship before VBS. If that sounds interesting to you, let us know and we’ll coordinate on the details.
